Nitrous Oxide Sedation (Laughing Gas)
Nitrous oxide is a quick and safe sedation option that helps you relax almost instantly. While remaining fully awake and able to follow instructions, any feelings of fear or anxiety will diminish. Some patients may even feel light or giddy during treatment. One of the main advantages of nitrous oxide is that its effects wear off rapidly with oxygen, allowing you to safely drive yourself to and from your appointment.

Oral Conscious Sedation
If you struggle with dental anxiety to the point where entering the office is a challenge, oral conscious sedation can provide a higher level of relaxation. By taking a prescribed sedative about an hour before your appointment, you will feel calm and enter a dream-like state. Although you will still be awake and able to communicate, most patients have little to no memory of the visit. The sedative's effects will wear off gradually, and you will feel back to normal shortly after. It is important to have someone available to drive you to and from your appointment if you choose this option.
